Natasha denies planning to destroy Tinubu’s govt

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the Nigerian Senate, has denied attempting to undermine President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s istration, as alleged by one Sandra Duru, a UK-based businesswoman.

According to reports, Sandra was said to have accused Natasha of aiming to campaign against the President by attacking the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to bring about the downfall of the Tinubu istration in the National Assembly.

However, in an exclusive interview with a US-based Nigerian journalist, Adeola Fayehun, Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that she never made such remarks, emphasising that she is not a tribalist.

She said, “People who know me know that I am not a tribalist. I respect and appreciate every tribe in Nigeria, every ethnicity.
“I am half Nigerian and half Ukrainian—who am I to talk about tribe when I am one part of the other world? That is not my nature; that is not my language.

“If anybody said that, it’s probably her team, the people who have sponsored her. Her sponsors are the ones who have probably put those words to her because they knew that I had enjoyed a lot of from Nigerians, not just in Kogi State, but across the country and even in the diaspora.”

Natasha stated that because Akpabio knows of the cordial relationship that exists between her and President Tinubu, he (Akpabio) is not comfortable with it.

She said, “The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, also knows that I enjoyed a good relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I have not said it in the open before, but I am saying it now, and that annoyed him because there was a time when the Senate President told my husband, ‘Are you aware that your wife goes to see the President?’ and my husband told him he was aware.

“Whenever I have critical issues to raise, like before I brought up the issue of probing Ajaokuta, I did meet with Mr. President to make sure he knew the nature of it, and he was okay with it. For other matters, too, I have met him in person.

“So, I do not have a hostile relationship with the President, even though I am in the opposition. I keep saying, the good people of Kogi Central voted me as a Senator to work, not to antagonise or create enmity.

“I want the people to know my issue is with the Senate President—not the entire Senate, the Nigerian people, the institutions, or the Presidency,” she said.

when Sandra duru aka Prof Mgbeke said she didn't know who akpabio or yahaya bello were in her video I knew this one na nonesense. Anything she says after that are all lies.

This woman is a serial liar, emotional blackmailer and a manipulator to the gullible women and nigerians..I saw through her from day 1 es[ecially after the big lies against Reno, which sensible person still believes and takes her serious? This woman has not provided a pinch of proof in any allegation against great men and now you want to drag the president? I can assure you she has not seen the president or given access to the president,,i can vouch.

The main loser in all this is her husband who was allegedly blackmailed by her into marrying her, i how women in delta state chanted 2011 for Natasha to leave Jolomi alone and called her husband snatcher. .now she has successfully stripped the husband of all political and federal connections..no powerful man would want to be friends with him so his wife does not accuse him tomorrow.

Natasha did a poor job in denying everything Professor Mgbeke accused her of. She even claimed to have met the president in the past, a claim she said made Akpabio envious.

If she was not troublesome, she could have informed the president earlier or the first lady of her issues and things could have been de-escalated. But she chose to undermine the president by bying protocol and going to the IPU-UN to peddle her claims.

What has come out of her outing?

She also undermined the entire country by saying women were repressed in politics. She further went to BBC, Sky News and DW to even claim the Nigerian Senate is like a cult.

She made statements that her assassination was planned. It is only fair that she backs up her claims instead of spewing. She had said she had informed some editors that her assassination was planned and they requested written proof before running her claim. Even Rufai Oseni did not openly talk about it. Any sensible journalist who ran that story would be liable to defamation claims. But why didn't Natasha issue a statement, signed by herself, claiming assassination and sent to editors? She unwittingly said it in a public gathering which is equally bad.

On Thursday 5th of June would be three months since she was suspended. Has she learnt her lessons? I doubt it.

As for her 5 Nairaland disciples who attacked me for calling her to supply evidence, how market? She is still on suspension. Your media whitewashing backfired. She is now forced to defend herself and sadly, she cannot determine the arena for redress. Certainly not the media as the sympathy she enjoyed initially evaporated due to her recalcitrant and petulant conduct.

Finally, if she knows she has no proof, she can apologize and move on. The circus is over. The derriere of the fowl has been exposed.
