This doesn't redefine their primary purpose. If the Church decides to rein in the charity they do all around the country.. Let's not even go there.

As an NGO, they should be exempted from all these shenanigans. It's what is obtainable everywhere.

So why buying a land, rather why not just rent it and be paying annually.

This is an exagerated, counter productive which should be haulted without delay.
To start with. the 14 days Ultimatum to pay up is too short and not feasible.
There has not even been a functional apparatus for the collection of the said ground rent.
Lagos state, that has been collecting Land Use Charge for ages always serve every household and Land an annual Land Use Charge demand notice.
There are also in every district in Lagos a Land Use Charge office that is responsible for the istration of this matter.
If the FCT has been serving such payment notices, the fee wouldn't have accumumulated so much

Which man? General Gado Nasko? That man was one of the best FCT Ministers. He served during General Babangida... Built all those primary and Secondary schools that were built with red brick in Abuja; including GSS Kwali, GSSS Tungan maje, GSS Tudun Wada, Gado Nasko Model Primary school, Phase 3 Primary School (Gwagwalada), University of Abuja Mini Campus, etc! Man built structures that have lasted over 30 years already, and still counting.

The roads he built were 30 years ahead of their time. He built roads that could accommodate 1m cars on a daily basis, when all the cars in FCT were not even up to 10k. Man was visionary!!!

It is not big money, o!!! People just allow this to accumulate and become a problem for them in the future. Make a yearly commitment—and see your peace maintained

You are right but that of FIRS how sure are we that within those years marked unpaid that the money was not marked as used. It is left for these establishments to follow their money, recover it from those that stole it

Do you see any poor man name on the list. It is the same poor people on the internet crying and shouting that it is politically motivated. All.rhe people on that list own properties abroad and they dare not pay their fees in abroad but in Nigeria they will.not pay.
