Why always thinking taxing the masses to raise money for project.

Why not increase oil production.

Why not expand the mining industry so that we can have more to export and earn forex.

Why not invest heavily in agriculture so that we can have more to eat and even export some to earn forex.

i wonder why taxing the masses should be considered first even when as a country we have several opportunities to explore to earn forex.

They tax the living out of the masses, and spend the money on frivolities like mid-tenure party. Ileya is around the corner and there is no sign of it unlike before that some pple living in face me, I slap you could afford to buy ram example baba Yusuf and baba fatai in our compound back then.

Yep, we may complain, but this is what happens when most people....do not pay income tax, and when about 80% of your revenue comes from oil....and the budget was set at 75 dollars per barrel....while in the real world since January....oil has been below 70, and even below 60.

It also happens when a party takes power promising diversification of the economy, and then as soon as power is gained...goes to sleep. It is what happens when for decades, we never get a government that talks about industrialization and innovation being the basis of our economy.

Accept your new tax. It's what you guys want...for not ing the right policies and the right leaders since independence.

Yes, and I am not just talking to the tinubuites....
oga, come straight with your wayo comment. Blame those in power today. If it is really hard for them, they rigged massively and paid fortune to grab the power. The past is behind us now.

What have they done with all the trillions they have borrowed? What have they been doing with the money they are getting from oil sales? What have they been doing with all the taxes they have already imposed on poor Nigerians?

Every time they mess up, una go start going back in time to blame the past .

There is no where in this country that the government maintains any road annually.

How did the minister come to the conclusion that 800bn naira is needed for annual road maintenance.

In Nigeria, if a road never spoil and condemn finish, the government will never carry out any maintenance on it, yet they budget billions annually for road maintenance.
Talk the one wey you sabi. For my area Dem dey fix road everyday. All the roads smooth like baby yanch

why should i pay income tax when i buy taxed goods, patronise taxed services 50% of the time?

Thats like taxing people for money exchanging hands and not for increase or personal growth.

You tax the business geberating the income tax, tax the goods the income is buying, half the services it patronises, yet, want to tax the income at the point of being earned but have no solution to wastages. Syatemic waatages. One borehole cost FG average of 212m. Streetlight cost can arrange a bongalow. Nobody is looking at thoae wastages.

Keep defending demonic regime.
