North’s Bold Plan For 2027: Unity Or Power Grab? (7413 Views)
Ikumapkayi: 11:11am On Jun 05 |
This is a nonsensical write-up riddled with baseless conjectures - a clear attempt to distort facts without evidence. Such poorly reasoned arguments only reveal the writer’s intellectual laziness and deliberate disregard for truth

if the north mount the challenge by using the entitlement to power excuse, they will fail because the south wont and even some northern power blocs wont that agenda BUT if the north can find another excuse maybe insecurity or economic hardship and present a candidate that the whole nation accepts to be good, then they might have a chance in 2027

Kusu12:. A simple free and fair election will remove your master strategist. Una too dey hype this man Same man that lost his home state of osun and Lagos state and lost the majority vote in the south Tell me something else abeg |

DIVINEEVIDENCE: Nobody said he should have been replaced by his own. The fact is south has done 18 years and North 10 years. Are you suggesting we shouldn’t count the 2 years Jonathan did or we should count Jonathan’s 6 years as a northern presidency? Make me understand please. |

MaziObinnaokija: Una deserve a nation of your own! Y'all can turn it into a bigger Lagos..........stench et al ! |

MakindeHassan:They will want to roast you because all sane Nigerians know that Nigeria didn't start in 1999 and the North(core North) had clung to power since 1960. They have always plunged Nigeria into dilapidation every time. |

MakindeHassan: If you feel the north was sidelined because Yar'Adua died in office and so his term should be completed by the north, you're simply voiding the constitution that says the president could be succeeded by his vice who completes a term in the name of the president. Your submission by implication is that the president's term must be served to completion by his kinsman. Now, if the president's kinsman must serve off his term after 12 years, what stops the same kinsman from serving it immediately the president is out of play? In other words, if a president dies in office, his vice should not take over but must step down for someone else from the president's ethnic extraction. Do you now realize how pedestrian your thinking is? |

DIVINEEVIDENCE: What am I saying and what are you saying? Two different things. Secondly if you can’t hold a conversation like an adult without insults or becoming condescending then please don’t respond again. I think you’re talking about something entirely different but to satisfy you and close that up let me add the 2 years Goodluck did to the Northerners. Thats still 12 years for the north and 16 to the south. What are you saying? |

Igirigimercenar:I don't think it will work that way too. For a couple of reasons . that the person who planned the 2015 card is ow the person in power . Secondly PDP had the majority and the opposition didn't ,now the party in power has the majority . Thirdly ,is the deceitful natur of the opposition, majority of PDP top top are already negotiating a soft landing for themselves and offering to see to it that Tinubu is returned to power. Adeleke and co are Already negotiating . Fourth is the total disarray and lack of cohesiveness in the opposition ranks ,the opposition doesn't seem to have a common front or agenda ,Tinubu is not impossible to beat but only with a common front and energy not the ones PDP,Seyi and Wike are doing 2 Likes 1 Share |

yns4real:The arrowheads of the so-called coalition from the North are majorly the minority Fulanis who are NOT even indigenous to Nigeria. They are just simply embedding themselves in Hausaland and the male and female Hausas have stated clearly in many online videos that they are tired of the minority Fulani political hegemony and domination of their land where NO single indigenous ethnic Hausa man or woman has ever been the President of Nigeria despite having a huge population of over 80 million over the Fulanis who are NOT more than 24 million in all West African countries they claim to be in. Even most Northern States Governors are the minority Fulanis who have always used political subterfuge and this the Hausas say they want to put a STOP to. Period. |

searchlight:South is very refined to break gentlemen agreement. North=8 years South=8 years. In 2031,May God keep us alive,North will be president. But for now,it will be difficult. I ain't a er of this government that is confused. |
Kusu12: 1:10pm On Jun 05 |
Igirigimercenar:You are contradicting yourself. You said a simple free and fair election would remove the master strategist, yet you also said he lost Osun and Lagos. If the election wasn’t free and fair, how did he lose those states? Clearly, you don’t understand political dynamics or strategy. Stop making contradictory statements , you sound like a political neophyte driven by emotion. To you, an election is only free and fair when your side wins. History will repeat itself, and you’ll go back to your usual conspiracy theories. |
DIVINEEVIDENCE: 1:54pm On Jun 05 |
MakindeHassan: If you feel the north should be allowed to level up with the South because Pres. Yar' Adua died in office, you're simply advocating that once a president dies in office, power should not be transmitted to his vice as that would create an imbalance, but his vice should step down and an election or selection be carried out for someone from the president's ethnic extraction to complete his term for balance and fairness. Tell me how this differs from your position so far. |

MakindeHassan: 2:12pm On Jun 05 |
DIVINEEVIDENCE: You’re mixing issues here. Firstly I am a southerner with just a little political insight and reporting what the north is saying. I am not advocating for anything. I do think their position is reasonable too an extent though. Secondly, by constitution there are no issues with the VP taking over and I am no contesting that in anyway. Maybe to make it level the north should have been petty not to let Goodluck contest after completing Yaradua’s term. How does that sound? Doesn’t it sound self centered? |

MakindeHassan: If we go by dictates of fairness, Igbos should be shouting all over the place because by right, they should be the ones in power. I don't see why you should adopt the position of the north which is not just unreasonable but also anti-democratic. Goodluck Jonathan, by the provisions of the Constitution, can still run for four more years if he so chooses. Its not his fault. He was simply a child of luck. It is this same unreasonable mentality that made Buhari to set up a rehabilitation programme for terrorists including direct absorption into the military just to level up with the Amnesty Programme of the Niger Delta. It is this same mentality that made him waste trillions in the north prospecting for oil. This is why there are dry ports in the north and pipelines running from South to the North. Why would anyone build a refinery in Kaduna that has no business with oil then lay pipelines from the South South to service it? The same mentality that if there's a refinery in ph that'll boost Southern economy, there has to be one in the north as well. I could go on and on. You need to understand the inborn selfishness of the north before blindly championing their cause. |

MakindeHassan:I am shocked that you're still digging in...after all the help knowledgeable people are trying to give you to help your understanding....whoever knows you should be thoroughly ashamed of you if this is how you reason outside of social media...and you will clearly be a dangerous and difficult person to work with. You started a very childish conversation filled with half truths.....acknowledged that you will be cooked but you're going ahead to defend and dig in ignorance. Some brilliant person even reminded you that Nigeria self determination started from 1960 and that you should have started from there...you didn't listen Another wise person reminded you about the constitution and why the Vice president takes over after the demise of a sitting president as a fulfillment of the Constitution but no, you have annoyingly gone ahead to argue needlessly....wetin det do us for that Country sef!!🙄 😒 |
Ekaka14: 3:21pm On Jun 05 |
MakindeHassan: You were not merely reporting what the North is saying..you owned it.. go and read your own first post again and don't try to pull a wool over anybody eyes...you NEVER in any way made it sound like you are quoting the North...rather you started by saying " Contrary to public opinion"...gibberish....gibberish..gibberish. You weren't clearly ready for the backlash, now you're trying to soft pedal...I fear people like you. You don't want to own your own writeup and you don't want to learn ![]() |

DIVINEEVIDENCE:Guy, it appears we are wasting intellectual conversations with that fellow...me I no go even quote am again... To your point about the North. I feel sorry for my friends and brother who are ordinary citizens from the North especially those who haven't realized that their main enemies are the Northern elites and not the Southerners or anybody else.
