This is not life, still working as a cleaner at 71yrs. In 1971 when she entered the country she was likely in her teens around 17, how is someone like that still a cleaner after so many years abroad?

And secondly I'm very sure her dismissal was more likely because of her age, she may not be cleaning as well as she used to and maybe there have been complaints about the quality of her work and they didn't know how to let her go until this incident happened

This is one of the people that are ever comfortable with appellations like " Mummy London" or " Mama ilu oyinbo". There are many of them over there who got carried away with the feeling of being abroad and never planned or thought of a day they will ever come back home.

Just a few weeks ago, we read of a 70 some year old man doing Uber in US who was killed. Why? It is because, they have a mind set the moment they step on the ground over there.

No plan to ever come back home.
No plan for themselves knowing fully well that the UK environment is harsh to eveeyone whether you are active or retired. Infact , the UK society aims to make you useless to yourself at the end of the day.

Lesson for other people presently forming Mummy London.

I am 101 percent sure all her children were born there and are still there. But of course for UK, mama no see pikin, pikin no see mama.

9ja politicians only know how to fry akara and roast corn during election season. Sanwo olu even turned to usher in church.

Same. way Peter Obi carried someone else's bag for airport . Same way he. volunteered to wash super eagles jerseys in London.

Bottom line, they are all the same.

The Rector is making a public show of a hundred thousand naira donation to somebody almost rendered incapacitated?

That is shameful especially as it can obviously not cover the cost of hospitalisation and post discharge expenses.

Does it mean the Rector cannot make a donation of such an amount in her personal capacity.

This is concerning.

Does it mean that not everyone is cut out for business

Could it be that some people just are not gifted with that ruthless streak to succeed in business

So, business success is not only dependent on having startup capital or deep pockets.

Starting , running and making profit in business is not all about the ruthlessness brother.

The single most important thing even more important than the availability of capital is a strong well grounded feasibility study.
But most people believe that your ion, determination and whatever Grammer will always see you through. Dey play!

The founder even alluded to the fact that they made mistakes.

Add it to Otti's achievements.

Add it to spending billions to renovating his personal house in Isiala Ngwa while refusing to move into the government house

These are business the government should give tax holidays and in anyway to survive since it's an indigenous company, but no they are clueless they don't even have idea the revenue the company could pull inside the GDP

Government should kuku give every business tax holiday including Kabiru the mechanic and Iya Nkechi the Okpa seller. Not to forget Muhammed the Suya seller .

Then, people like you will clap for the government.

How did he hit abati ?

Kindergarten review.

As an Abati apologist , if your principal being referred to as a candidate who campaigned alongside a fugitive for an elective office is not a hit then, accept my sincerest sympathies.

Unfortunately, the Abati you are trying to defend will be more ashamed than you the defender.

That's why Wike got the guy.

I'll choose Lere over the other bastids.

I like his straight uppercut style and for the fact that he's the only one with clean slate among the rest. The other morons after lambasting Tinubu are now licking his ass.

Loan him or loath him, Lere will attack with fact that the victim will find difficult to even disagree with.

The guy hit Abati no be small.

The money in the banks where does it come from? From the air?

If the monies in the banks are not lent out where will the banks make money from?

Will companies borrow if they have no need for the money? How will they repay? I can go on and on.

Infact any BABY banker, ant and economist that reads this your submission will not bother to reply. They will just waka because it makes no economic sense.

By now, I expect anyone at least two weeks old on Nairaland to have a list of people or commenters to just ignore and not respond to their comments.

I can help you with a list.

I could recall airlines having un- repatriated sums as much as $7b before he took over.

Few Nigerians delve into stocks. I mean very few! They rather just use their money to build a house that will generate profit for the next 30 years.

People are making it big in stocks. I know people who make more than 50% of their yearly income from dividends payments.

Just do your research. The numbers don’t lie.

That few Nigerians delve into stocks is a lie from the pit of hell. Never look at things from your own little corner.

There used to be one hotel not too far from backcock, not sure if it would still be there. I used to spend time there as it was owned by one of my friend's dad. Aye Backcock

It may still be there. I just drive in and out but I am not sure there is a landmark like that un- noticed by me.
