Good afternoon Dear All above. I am so glad for Your inputs. I pray that God will bless You richly. I have swallowed every word of the posts above. Shortly after posting, a very well meaning Nairalander also called Me, He has a Kia Rio and shared his experiences. He says he is dead sure that swapping the brain-box will bring a solution to the problem. Luckily for me, my uncle(who does car-hire) has the same car but in hatchback form and same automatic gear. He says he will test out this swap with our brain-boxes tomorrow evening. To see if the car will pick. I love You all nairaland profoundly. You don't want to know the kind of grief these car issues have cost me in the last 3years. Having a sound Toyota which is performing, is an underrated blessing. But having those cost an arm, a leg and a kidney nowadays. I will give You updates after tomorrow evening when My uncle tests it out. Until then, one love, peace. God give you rest. 1 Like |

Good afternoon Nairaland. Nairaland has been like a family to Me. I have met some great people, and we have helped each other out in any way we can. If you follow my threads, you will see my situation when I was moving to a Kia vehicle. I purchased a Kia rio vehicle, after coming from a Skoda which nearly killed Me. As my village people perhaps, would have it, I took my kia rio after buying it(without even driving it anywhere else really) to a car wash. The car-wash owner whom I knew, did not supervise anything, and His boys flooded my engine with water. As I went to pick the car up, I was just having serious transmission issues. I have renewed/paid vehicle particulars fees, for the last 3 years, but I have not been driving(on the road) for up to 4months combined. Please save me before I give up on motoring completely. It seems forces more than I can comprehend have frustrated my life, and they have done it and ed. The vehicle is at Agege now(close to Ogba). It has been there since December. The car virtually does not move. When it moves, it uses a lot of strength to move, and You can detect a burning smell from the gearbox. The car certainly cannot climb out of the gate! Error code is U0101(vehicle lost communication with Transmission control module TCM). It is certainly an electrical problem. Please somebody should help me. Just demand pure water money(about 15k) and maybe transport. If I am able to put a car on the road for 3months stretch, then I will be fine, as i normally do transport services with my car also. It is just that no car has allowed me to do that so farrrr. Please help me, I'm screaming out for help. Please make something good to happen for once in my life in a long time. It has been a long time since something good happened. Please reach out to me 080 seven 136 four nine nine eight. God will prevent you from destruction also. Car: Kia Rio 2009 Automatic.

Hehe, There's a Short-let company with fancy rooms scattered across Island. Brooke Addison is the company name I think (Check IG and co). You'll encounter this when checking into any of their rooms, and funny enough the company is one of the cheapest companies. So, Naija has it, and it's not expensive. ![]() ![]() 3 Likes |

We must always Commend News developments from Africa! Its the Spirit! and its a good spirit. Although, this is the same re-badging of Chinese vehicles that We have seen Innoson doing. Look at it, you'll see a lot of resemblance between this and Innoson's electric car; and the Parent company's car (Dongfeng Nammi 01). Assembling of Cars is not bad at all. At least we say Kudos to Africa. We can drive Cars with newer technology, and not the former dumping-ground spirit we had/have before. 1 Like |

aieromon:But Sir, what's the essence of having a pin to protect your ussd? You know ussd is tied to each SIM card, so having the same ussd send a reset code to the same SIM card is kinda stupid. Would you design a system like this? The abroad where You would like to live, is not characterized by such stupidity. If we know that our SIM card is as good as our money, You don't think the whole world would have SIM locks? You do know that only Access bank has this loophole right?(The loophole which I have just found out) Quiz Access Bank subscribers, only 30% would have sim-locks enabled. So that is a disaster waiting to happen right? 1 Like |

Hopez456:Good afternoon Dear Sir, I almost thought the same thing too. But using the police from that same area might be futile. I counted the cost of taking police from another location, they already mentioned 50k for fuel. In Nigeria, you could get there and the criminals would mention the backing that they have, and you/your entourage would have to turn back. I have/kept screenshots of the particular alaba buildings during the live trackings |

Good afternoon Nairalanders, What I will speak on is how I entered a 1-chance vehicle, had my phone pick-pocketed, and how the criminals took out almost all the money from my Access Bank . On December 26th 2024 around 4pm, I was coming from MKO abiola estate around Alausa, heading to Arepo. I headed to the express road which leads to the Mowe axis and flagged down a bus just on that road, since the nearest bus-stops were far ahead and far behind. A bus then stopped, it had about 4 engers in the rear, but the conductor prompted me to sit in the front-seat. In the front seat was the Driver and another male person. 30 seconds into the journey, the driver started playing funny antics, saying that the gear is faulty and that he had to swing it so much to my side. This made me have to put my legs on the other front-seat male enger, and I kept shouting on the driver as to why they would have me sit in front if the gear lever had that kind of problem. As I was shouting at the driver, that male front enger at the extreme, towards the door was taking my phone from my jeans pocket. Shortly after they knew they had taken my phone, the conductor informed the driver that he had picked one enger going to Arepo and that he picked me at a fare of N500. The driver said loudly, why would You pick Him for 500. The driver then said they must drop me off, that they won't proceed on the journey again. The driver stopped at berger, the conductor made me alight and returned my money in full; and the bus turned round going under the bridge heading to berger-ogba side. Once I dropped from the vehicle, I could just sense that my phone had been nicked, I started checking my pockets while I saw the bus speeding off and detouring back in the opposite direction. They sped off. Now, My phone has a good fingerprint reader(Samsung S10e) and so I knew they couldn't get into my phone, unless they wiped the phone clean. My Bank apps were safe and USSD side of them was safe too, as they would require pins for authentication. The only threat was if they were to recharge My same sim card from the USSD, and that would just result into them buying airtime for my same phone number, which should be useless to them. Within an hour I located a computer and tracked my phone to an address at Alaba market side: #43 Adejiyan street. Surely my phone has gone, because how much will I pay the police to travel that far. I preferred to use the police from a location different from that area. I decided not to block my sim that same evening, the tracking was functioning because the sim had data in it, and the criminals turned on the phone at intervals. What would I have to lose? The criminals would buy airtime for that same phone, which was useless. By 7am the next morning, I still decided to check my Bank balances on UBA, OPay and Access Bank, and that was when I discovered that my access bank money had been taken. I left N100,000 there and met N30,000. I called Access Bank and access bank told me that if someone has your sim card, they can dial access ussd code, initiate reset by themselves and move your money out on that same sim. I was confused and angry. I asked access bank how it made sense?. What is the function of ussd pin on a sim card if they can easily request a new one. Access bank then says, for someone to mitigate it, they have to also use sim-lock. The sim lock we paid attention to in the early 2000's when we all used feature phones, which requires PUK number to reset. I said, Access Bank, this makes no sense. Who knows about this? When one forgets His ussd pin, He should have to visit the Bank physically. That is how it is done in all Banks. If anybody knew this pitfall, won't they take their money and keep it under their pillows at home, or dig a hole and bury it for safe keeping?. I can't but think that Access bank is conniving with the criminals at this time. The criminals seem like they are part of a syndicate.(seeing how fast my phone got to Alaba, and how it slept in a particular building for the night. The next day the phone had moved to Ijanikin as early as 7am, and my money had been moved by then). I had to ask access Bank 3 times for my statement before they sent it, and when I saw the fraudulent transactions; I gave them an ultimatum to return my money. I said I would sensitize the whole world on how "Your money is only as safe as the location of Your sim-card, at Access bank"; once they fail. This whole incidence leaves me in confusion and bitterness. My neighbours who were at home say they are moving out all their monies, as they cannot believe Access banks' stupidity with their systems. Please all, Move your monies out of Access Bank. Before now, if You have heard of this, would you consider your monies safe? Once someone has your sim card, he can move your monies out if you didn't use sim lock? Please confirm on All Access Bank channels, and You will see that this is true. I am so bitten, embittered and downcast. I have attached some evidences and references. 1. My mail to Access 2. The damning message from Access on January 8th, Telling me that my funds have been moved. That they can't recover my funds. 3. My statement from Access, showing the 2 un-authorized transfers from the criminals Please mods, let it get to front page, Access Bank needs to suffer for their stupidity. I will also message friends who are good with X(twitter), to show me how to start campaigns there. Please incase you are also moved by this, and wanted to help, to relieve; my number is 0032030139 Sowunmi Access bank. Thank you. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

gofigurena: Hehe, You're half done with My advice, having adopted almost all of it. Graçias. The pure water ones hardly have faults(the parts hardly fail). Hence all our people went for them. Now the parts-sellers only(mainly) stocked those parts, and the new mechanics only learnt those pure water mottos. That's the connection. God be with You. 3 Likes |

My Dear Brother, Please I beg You in the name of Jesus, Please buy those/any Pure-water Car you mentioned. E get why. Now also, secondly, never try to stand out in Nigeria with a Car. There is a reason why You will stand out with the car. It's not everywhere abi, and no one is using it(if You find out why it is so, You will cry afterwards). Pure water cars are there/so because the parts will hardly fail, You will hardly visit mechanic. Please I beg You, in summary, any single car that You see as pure water(overly overly common on Nigerian roads), please buy it. Thank you Sir. Well done. (Japanese: Toyota/Honda , maybe Korean, and maybe any other model from another brand that's pure water on the street) (Apart from His declaration in His write-up, OP is clearly a super super beginner ![]() 18 Likes |

Hehe. It's mostly semi-raw peppers, to make a semi-raw gravy. They would normally take this with 'Kenke' or Banku. And they sure Love this with roasted Tilapia fish. Ghanaians sure do know their fish. They'd tell You exactly the type of fish they are eating. They also sell a tiny specie of fish, really tiny, I think it's called 'One man million'. Some other Ghanian foods are Coconte, fufu, Waakye(pronounced wache). Soups are Palm nut soup, Groundnut soup(not very nice), Lite soup(fiery and nice, like peppersoup) and normal Okro soup.
