Hello bro, I will suggest you try out new pure sine wave inverter that kiekie just d instead of ordering from AliExpress and waiting for 3weeks. it has 2000w(1000w) and 2400w(1200w) in 12/24/48v variance.
I just got one from him too and as far as av tested it's good and the wave was smooth.

Oh wow. I wish you had mentioned it earlier. I already ordered for it. Nevertheless, since you recommend him, I might still get to buy something from him moving forward. Thanks for the reply.

Till now no update yet

Unfortunately, all you can do is wait. If it were to be with Speedaf, you could get in touch with them to know what is going on but it's not yet with them. Hopefully before the week runs out

10days with custom sad

You can imagine. I just hope all is well because the other item spent four days with customs (including weekends) before it was handed over to Speedaf and I have received it.

Speedaf is very slow

Very slow might not be the word but not as efficient as they used to be. As at last year, I used to items from them within two weeks. Now, I got my recent one in 23 days and the other combined delivery is stuck for almost ten days with customs. I know that's not Speedaf's fault. But they aren't just as efficient as they used to be.

Guys please help me. I recently got a barter flutterwave dollar card and I funded with $5 to test which worked flawlessly. Now each time I try to use it on AliExpress, I get the IN the screenshot.. what could be the issue?

Why $5? I was charged $2 when I opened mine

this is bad ooooo, and I'm thinking of applying for my own card next week

If you understand this country, life will be easy. I knew it was only a matter of time before Standard . It was a wise cunning idea. They allowed one month window for people to jump ship from other banks and open s with them only for them to the $20 limit. I will still wait. If they can sustain it for a while, I might consider opening with them or I just jejely open a Dom with my current bank or just continue using my Barter. If person wan follow these banks, you'll end up being a bank ambassador for having in all the banks in Nigeria plus the virtual ones.

Strange things are afoot in this country. I ordered three mens watch items from two different shops on 31.3.2022. Items reached destination country Nigeria on 21.4.22. Nipost gave me call on the same day and I collected all three items after paying 100 naira. Everything took twenty one days. Unbelievable.

This is good news o. Or is it because a lot of items arrived the country between 1st and second week of April? Let's see how it goes.

To be honest, l am not a fan of separate Charge Controller and Inverter.
I dont even consider it a cheaper option, in the long run.

Some say it gives them control over their PV aspect of their setup but it is like someone choosing a Manual gear Drive over and Automatic Gear Drive in a Car! When l bought my first Automatic gear Car in year 2000, all my friends said l am "mad" as l wont have "firm control" over the Car. about three years later`, following my experience, they are all converts of Automatic gear.

I think if you use a Hybrid Inverter, it is cheaper than buying them separate, it saves you money of cabling of the two separately and the hybrid has an efficient way of managing the two together and with more advanced Hybrids in the market, they have become more reliable and have large Charging Current range.

But since you have bought the MPPT Controller already, l will suggest you not restrict yourself to that small Inverter, if funds will allow, buy something like 1.5KVA, Pure Sine Wave Inverter, these things get obsolete, very quickly, in of your requirement .in the nearest future.
Sorry for the late response.

The late response is no problems at all. As a matter of fact, I was just about going for the inverter and I thought I should check here one last time.

You got me smiling. I hope your buddies bought you a bottle of wine for showing them the road?

I must say that I'm caught in the same net as your friends on this inverter choice. I see a couple of people here saying the separate setup is better than the hybrid inverter for the fact that once the hybrid is faulty, everything goes out the window but for the separate setup, you can still salvage either of both CC and the inverter. Although, I considered the chances of both the separate setup also getting faulty at the same time - or even worse. I decided to JUMP on the bandwagon of "team separate" o.

I'm actually going for the 1.6KVA Pure Sine Wave. Wanted to go for the 2000w but the CC specification says it should not go beyond 1440w (which I believe I still have gone against if I go for this 1.6KVA) or you will have to buy either two 60A CC or an 80A which this particular seller does not have. I guess this is where the hybrid outplays this "manual" setup cheesy auto detection and adjustment and less cumbersome. I do not intend to use it for more than the things I have listed. In fact, when the time comes for upgrades, I'm just going to overhaul everything if I have familiarized myself with one or two about solar energy.

Thanks for the time and advice Sir. I honestly do appreciate it.

But is there anything else you think I might need besides these?

It seems you believe all your gadgets will have surge capacity. But from the items you listed, none has surge. And @ bolded should be the other way round when loading two or more high surge gadgets on a single power source. You start with the item with the highest surge consumption, then the next highest and then others follow in that manner.

Gadgets that have surges include HVAC like Air conditioners, freezers and refridgerators. Others are pumping machines and microwave ovens.

Your charge controller was a good choice, although there are more ones capable of cutting a larger hole in your pocket. But for the price, PowMr does a pretty good job. In addition it will still be quite relevant in future upgrades which I am sure you will still do when your addiction to solar becomes incurable with use.

As per your inverter, it is 12v and adequate for the listed gadgets. But have it in mind that it becomes irrelevant by the time you want to do an either 24v or 48v system ecosystem.

Your choice of lithium is also perfect. All the best.

Whoa. This is huge knowledge for me boss. I really do appreciate your reassurance on my choice of CC and inverter, especially. I have really been skeptical about it.

I see a lot of sense in first loading the highest consuming gadget now that you mentioned it.

You really saw deep into my mind on that one cheesy I intend to start small and get myself acquainted with solar energy before I a larger scale - but still, I don't want to get it wrong even for a first try.

Thanks so much. I really do appreciate it.

Please note that it is not all Equipments that experience this "VERY HIGH SURGE", it happens with equipments that have Motors/Coil ONLY.
A.C, Fan, Blender, Fridge, etc

Not Modern TV's. Sound Systems, Laptops, Phone chargers, etc

OH wow! Thanks for that tip. I had in mind that ALL equipments do have the surge. I guess my only concern then is my fan. Thank you.

BTW, I received delivery of my charge controller yesterday. I want to order for the attached inverter. Do you think it can serve for my said loads? Or would you recommend I buy a better and more reliable Pure Sine Wave inverter product here?

Hope u understand the 'surge'(780w to 1300w) part it goes beyond the 130w?

Yes I suppose so. I understand surge power consumes up to at least 3 times the wattage at the initial before it goes back to consuming the normal one (which is 130w in this case). I may be wrong though.

So, assuming all my loads have this initial surge (say 1200w), am I still on the safe side?

The 1600w can run 800w load continuously. It powered my 100L freezer of 130w despite the initial surge.

Please, do anyone have this product or another product name that is psw between 1600w - 2000watt?

First of all, let me mention that I am a newbie and working on my first solar set up.
I intend to buy this from Aliexpress.
But can it serve for a maximum load of 400w? ( 43"smart tv, 5 x 5w LED bulbs, a wall fan 48w, phone, decoder, woofers 60w, laptop)

I already have a the charge controller MrPow 60A.
Also, I have plannned to buy an LFP battery of 200Ah and 2x300w mono crystal solar s.

Will this particular inverter serve and for how long can the battery last in a day as I intend to go totally off grid?

they are not the same bro, lithium is very expensive bro, but it's worth it cos it has a very good longevity. Tubular batteries are not as good as lithium but they are okay too especially if u have a good solar array. 4pcs of 320watts is very very okay, thats each battery has around 640watts. Don't compromise on the charge controller. Sometimes people spend huge amount of money on batteries and s and forget to complement it with a very good charge controller. Try use an mppt.
Thanks a lot for this

Wow. Thanks a lot for this boss. But the tubular batteries, are they in the same category as the lithium phosphate battery? Then, can 4 pcs of 320W s serve for the 1.5kva inverter or they must equal in amount?

I asked you to call me so as to give you other options available and how you can as well reduce cost.

I did not ask you to call me for any personal gains whatsoever oooo.

I am using Solar In My Home not NEPA at. And it is opened for viewing via Whatapp if you like.

Please find the shipping fee for the battery. Never buy Lead Acid Battery, deep or not. It amounts to being wasteful in this Era buying SLA battery when the SUPER EFFECIENT and EFFECTIVE LITHIUM PHOSPHATE BATTERY ARE AVAILABLE NOW IN THE MARKET.

If you are to Power all these listed Electronic Devices at ago, you will consume at least 500W of Power. Thus Get A 1000Watt or 1KW 12V/24V PURE SINE WAVE INVERTER on www.aliexpress.com

You need MPPT Solar Controller which you need to buy on aliexpress to. The controller rating should be at least 50Amps at 48V input.

As for your Solar s, get them locally. Only Buy Monocrystaline Solar s of say 320Watt X 2 or 3 or 4 depending on your pocket. If you reside in IBADAN, You can get for #66K 320W 36V Monocrystaline Solar s.

Never Buy Sealed Lead Acid Battery nor Gel Battery. Go for Lithium Phosphate Batteries. You can get a Protected 24V 100Ah Lithium Phosphate Battery Pack on www.aliexpress.com too.

Goodluck..

Modified: I found this https://a.aliexpress.com/_mK6wUtE
It has good reviews from Nigerians and other s from other countries. My concern now is the specification. Although, I would like to go for the 2200W (in case I add further load, say a deep freezer) or the 3000W. But what voltage and frequency should I go for? I'm not a tech person. Should I go for 12V or 24V and 50Hz or 60Hz for the 2200W?

As for the MPPT, I found this https://a.aliexpress.com/_m0zZFNQ
It seems to be the one with the highest rating. Although, some of the reviewers have concerns after use but some good number of the reviewers says it's OK. Again, which of the specifications should I go for for a, say, SINE WAVE of 2200W at 24V/50Hz? Should I still go for your recommendation of 48V at 50A or... 48V at 60A?

Then, I noticed the SINE WAVE has either 12V or 24V options. No 36V or 48V. Hope say I no go hear "KABOOOM!!!" if I connect 48V/60A MPPT to a 12V or 24V SINE WAVE? grin grin I'll get a professional installer though

For the s, I'll definitely go for your recommendation but will two 320W s serve a 2200W SINE WAVE? I don't know if I'm asking the right question.

For the batteries, the term pack just confuse me finish grin If it means the battery itself, is it possible to get it here in the country with 100% reliability? The shipping cost just looks as though na nuclear plant I wan import grin grin grin

I be total novice in this so please excuse my questions and jargons boss

What would you recommend for:
a wall fan of 48W and a

5 energy saving bulbs
A laptop
A phone
43" smart TV and

And a video game console.
What solar settings should I go for to stay completely off grid and what would be the total estimate?

Lol at the bolded. Naaah, my worry is because the rains will heavily reduce the production of the s. And ro be honest I would not like to pay a dime for electricity again after enjoying 4 months of zero NEPA bill. During the entire period when petrol was scarce I did not feel it one bit. No need to on Gen and at least 20hrs of uninterrupted electricity. I say 20hrs because on days when there was cloud cover, the inverter dey go off between 3 and 5 for, morning depending on use. My biggest joy is that I always knew that at 6:45am when sufficient sunlight show, I go get electric.

Regarding the cost of setting up a 1.5Kva inverter I cannot properly advice as prices have been crazy lately. I have a 4 battery setup. Maybe installers following this thread will be able to advise on present cost. Whatever the cost is, make sure you get really good batteries. E get why
Wow. You're the real deal. Nothing better than being in control of your own power. Peace of mind. Thanks a lot for your time. I have learned one or two and laughed as well.

The real big drain would be the TV. The sheer size of the TV makes it a power hog. A 1-1.5kva should be sufficient for basic use if you keep TV usage down. My recommended preference would be 3kva but that's a huge cost implication. For me I had an inverter with battery from years ago that cost around 500k to setup (Dollar rate wasn't this terrible). Bought 6 320w s for total cost of ₦770k which has sustained my entire off-grid during this dry season. But I'm worried about the coming rains. Very worried
Thanks for the boss. I'm not much of a TV person. I mostly only use it during weekends. I can cut it down if 1.5kva can serve me well. But how many batteries and s do you think can work with that? Judging by when you bought yours, it must be more expensive now. Please, do you have the current idea of the estimate or price for the 1.5kva? During the week, I'm not available from 8am to 6pm. So that should cut down my usage. But when you say you are VERY worried about the coming season, abeg shey na whitewalkers dey come ni? grin grin I guess that's one of the downsides of solar

I have been on solar for the past 4 months with zero consumption from NEPA. NEPA sent me ₦150k+ estimated bill. Refused to pay and got disconnected. Their father. I have 24 hours uninterrupted electricity although I have had to modulate my consumption. No AC, pressing iron, microwave or boiler (aka electric water heater). And it has been worth every penny. Just intermittent gen use when I want to use energy demanding appliances.
