LGA funds for Ileya Ime subsidy.

Is Holy Qur’an teachings not against buying ram if you can't afford it? So why subsidise eid ram with LGA funds?

It is understandable if he's using his personal funds but using LGA funds to give N125K subsidy on eid rams for 1,000 rams costing N125 million tax payers seems somehow. N125m is a lot of money o!

I think the government should look at this kind of expenditure now that Supreme Court has ordered the direct release of funds to LGAs.
Is it not the people that got the money? Why do we drink Panadol when there's no headache at all?

Teacher looks well fed and happy, seems to love her job. Not in Nigeria here. Poor payment and financial woes turn most of them to raging volcanoes in the class room. You hear of teachers flogging pupils to death. Haba

The bright red colour of the blood indicates that a major artery was hit. Except the entry hole of the bullet gets quickly packed and sealed to stem blood loss, such injuries kill in minutes.

Now let me begin to point out the deliberate incompetence of both the state and federal governments and security agencies.

1. Naka road where this attack happened, is a road that has consistently been plaqued by marauding Fulani killers. The road is in utter state of disrepair and has remained so since the 90s. Thick vegetation surrounds that road for miles. The Fulani emerge from the bush, strike and then retreat. No week es without Fulani killing people on that road. Up to this moment, two Benue links buses full of engers, had the occupants kidnapped by the same Fulani and nothing has been done. This incidents happened less than a month ago.

2. Two Nigerian army check points are on that road. The police have a check point on that road too. These check points are primarily used to collect money from drivers. Once you approach any of the army check points, the driver of the vehicle MUST alight, walk to an area beside the checking point and drop 200 naira into a bowl the soldiers have set up for that purpose. The soldiers merely sit under a tree close to the check point and observe.

3. Makurdi is headquarters to the largest command of the Nigerian air force. This is where most of our fighter jets are based. While this airforce base is not home to airforce helicopters, the base can serve as a quick staging area for helicopters that can be brought in for surveillance.

4. About helicopters, with all the noise successive Benue state governments have been making regarding the Fulani killings, not one governor has bothered to procure a helicopter that can be quickly deployed to search for the Fulani camps that undoubtedly exist in the thick forests around the Makurdi-Naka road.

5. Infrared/night vision capable cameras are a thing some helicopters carry now. If the federal government won't mandate the airforce to use it's combat helicopters equipped with night vision cameras to search for Fulani camps in the forests, nothing stops the Benue state government from buying a couple of the civilian helicopters that can be used for such.

6. The Fulani build make shift camps deep in forests. Everyone generates body heat. Against the contrast that vegetation provides, this heat a human being generates can be picked up by infra red cameras on a helicopter. A helicopter on patrol that picks up a settlement in the thick forest with its IR cameras can easily geo-locate that location for Nigerian army paratroopers who are based in north bank, Makurdi to swoop down and investigate.

Heat in the forest is likely human activity. The Fulani killers have to use fire to cook after all.

Tackling the Fulani menace is not rocket science. Technology exists that can make sure these guys don't have a place to hide. All round incompetence in Nigeria's security architecture and the lack of the political will is what makes these killings continue.

They have moles at the top. Before you carry out the operation they have been informed and have safely relocated.

Nigerians are naturally stubborn. You know how useless the police is and how lawless the country is yet when they stop you, you'll be following them to drag and refusing to stop.

Just stop and show them your papers highest they'll ask you for weekend money. If you like you can give if you like you can tell them you don't have case closed.
The police can be very irritating at times. I don't evading police scrutiny though. It's important for the safety of us all. What I frown at is shooting live bullets. What happened to rubber bullets? Why chase offenders when u can track them with their vhcl numbers? Get the vhcl numbers, track and ensure effective prosecution. In many developed countries, u don't see police on the road. They use remote traffic. But nobody dares disobey due to vhcl tracking. Why don't we apply that in Nigeria to end this wastage of lives on the streets. The shots could take out an unsuspecting bystander.

Your comment is totally off.

Na Government wan dey tell private schools how dem go dey operate their school buses?

Are the citizens that worse that they can't innovatively come up with something special, for even their own private Business?

The comment is not OFF. it's germane. It is government legislation that makes for law and order in the society. If the state or national assembly so legislate and the executive signs into law, the law enforcement agencies pick that up. Defaulters would go in for it. So, hold the government able for societal chaos and disorder. The government includes your clueless elected legislators.

Rufai Oseni has been right all the while. VDM was in EFCC not DSS custody. Well, I expect VDM to sue them for denial of freedom if he were innocent. In developed countries, they only arrest when a prima facie case is established. In Nigeria, we arrest on mere suspicions and release when not found guilty. Standing justice on its head.

Whodunit? It's not enough to just deny. Seyi should sue for libel let's watch the drama. He could buy his way at court but if guilty it would be evident. He needs to clear his name beyond this. Afenifere is not the right organ thereby regionalizing a clear point accusation against one person

Those guys killed people. The police should’ve been called in to seize him

Abduction is a felony ( a federal offense at that), who gave this man right to forgive the kidnapper? 🤦‍♂️
The forgiver is accessory after the fact. The repentant committed crimes against the state. I am not sure he repented though. Okada business is consistent with their modus operandi, intelligence gathering. He is still very much in it. There's no due diligence by the govt in combating these terrorist s. Why won't it mushroom?

Very good one. There is need for sanity in the preservation of laws around life and humanity. The same way the world rose in accord against cloning of human beings, is same way this one is going. Despite his uncouth approaches to governance, the silly tariff wars, the world is grateful to POTUS Trump for ending Transgender issues.

My problem with all of them is that non of them seem to be focusing on the tools tinubu has set in place help him rig/win

If the entire country does not pressure NASS into electoral reform where it will b stated that IREV result is final ND authentic results ... The. The INEC will continue to read out fictional and fabricated results on national t. V show ... Results which does not coroborate with any other result from the source...

That is where the primary problem is
God bless you for this. It's not about winning, it's about the transparency of the processes. If you look closely, the rigging for 2027 is almost perfected. While the opposition focused on winning the masses over, the ruling party well aware of her shortcomings, is perfecting wresting it by all means. The CJN is there - go to court, if you want. The INEC Chairman is still there despite the coup last time. In fact nothing has changed. Wike is in Abuja to ensure the magic in Rivers was replicated there. The Rivers crisis is all about 2027 and control of the rigging apparatuses of the state - the best way was a destabilized Rivers since Sim was proving headstrong. Wike's interest is to control the resources of the state, PBAT's interest is the of Rivers willynilly. Look at Delta state. These politicians might not be with the people of their states, but they are the rigging points to liaise with INEC and police etc. The plot is on in a multi-facet way.

What indeed do terrorists gain from harming and killing innocent population? We have mass killers yet they are not classified as terrorists by Nigerian Government. When their leaders are caught they are treated as repentants and later recycled to continue. They should be tried and convicted. No single known conviction yet army is fighting hard and capturing them. Why?

I concur. If she's well intentioned she wouldn't see it as anything. But if she begins to whine then something was wrong ab initio and would simply retrace her steps, if she loves you. Complaining around women makes you look weak. Treat them with action. Women don't like weak men for a reason. They like being commanded subconsciously.
