obiekunie01: You are a big fool! And even worse is how you are able to put your stupidity right in public show effortlessly thoughtless. I guess that you don't have a daughter or sister that is married. A wife beater is the weakest man there can ever be. Can you dare lay a finger if she was in the military? Stupid fool. |

I think that married couples are supposed to put their spouse first before parents although it depends on the situation. Because from the day you got married, you two became one and if you two really see yourselves as one, then spouse is supposed to come first before parents generally speaking. It is like chosing parents over one's self under normal circumstances which is highly unlikely. Unless under certain circumstances that are understandable, one may have to put parents first. And maybe if you two are not really one in your marriage as it should be, one may also have to put parents first. 1 Like |

Leobankx: I beg to differ. If the state owned petroleum refineries are now working again after decades of redundancy and neglect with many casting doubt of any hope of resuscitation, who says ajaokuta and delta steel company can't work again and function optimally at a reasonable cost. |

Mr. council boss, If you go to a local government area called ado odo ota in Ogun State, next to the president's own backyard, where so many multinational companies are located, you will understand that bad roads across manufacturing zones are not limited to your local government. Although government really need to prioritize the fixing and construction of new roads across economically viable zones nationwide and improve security. However, this is no easy task but it can be done. This is sad. 1 Like |

That Father simply committed murder by killing his son and the law would treat him as a murderer if proven guilty to the crime regardless whether the person he killed was his son. Ignorance is not an excuse to law. The father could simply have turned the erring child over to the relevant authorities for correctional purposes. 1 Like |

The revival of the government owned refineries by the nnpc which had previously been in state of decadence for decades is a testament that Nigeria can function in all sectors to global standards. We just need the right people in the right places. President Tinubu and his nnpc are getting it right with the revitalization of the petroleum refineries and we hope that it continues to get better. 1 Like |

AnonymousNarrat: Developing nations with the financial capabilities to build infrastructures and has the population to utilize the infrastructures, need the world cup more than the world cup need them. All that is required is good maintenance culture on the part of the utilizers and regulatory authorities. These infrastructures must have been built in such a way and location that they are easily accessed so as to generate income over a long length of time. If the world cup is bringing development, i don't think $500bn is too much to spend to develop a nation through sport. Dangote spent $20bn on a private refinery. 1 Like |

No country host the FIFA world cup and stays the same. The world cup comes with joy, pride and leaves development behind in of infrastructures such as standard stadiums, training facilities, hotels, lodges, good road networks, railways, airports, steady electricity and many more in and around host cities. The host country could aswell have a developed football league through the facilities that would be put in place. If a country like England hosted the world cup today, it wouldn't spend half the amount Brazil spent on building and upgrading facilities. But if a country like Nigeria would host the world, it could spend more like Qatar because there is a whole lot to be put in place. 1 Like |

I may not be familiar with the technicalities at which Mr. Rufai arrived at his assertions that the proposed funds earmarked for that Lagos metro project from the national budget was wrong. But if he (Mr. Rufai) was right, then, I feel that we shouldn't be defending what is wrong regardless whether such wrong has been done before by somebody else in the past. We should be looking at righting all wrongs and preventing a repeat. 2 Likes |

All I can say is think twice before you offer any kind of help to anyone that is not your family member these days. As good intentions can easily be translated to negligence in the event of an accidental occurrence. May our good intentions not lead us into trouble. 2 Likes |

In as much as the prevailing hardship faced by many citizens across the nation remains glaring to public notice, hardship has being around for long and it can be cause by factors too numerous to mention including personal factors. So, I wouldn't sanction such handouts constitution, especially not at the president's private residence. Unless that was meant to be a protest of some sort while at the same time asking for handouts. The end result of their ignorant gathering has only resulted in causing public and self embarrassment. 1 Like |

PressMyButton: Go up and reread the post you shared from that source all over again and tell me why a sensible person should be celebrating or applauding paper projections and estimates. Is like walking into a restaurant, bargaining for food at a specific cost and then telling the waiter that you are already satisfied with the aroma of the food you are yet to eat and paying for. You will get whatever is made available by your waiter and it will be assumed satisfactory. I bet you can't even complain when you get the worse of service. 1 Like 1 Share |

MasterTeeUSA: You have spoken well indeed. But I will like to keep to my views that no brand will render it's insufficient volume products to customers on loan. Especially, with the enormous challenges being faced by manufacturers in that sector. Hence, they'd refer their potential loan customers to explore other vehicle financing options. I may not know whether they have active service centers. But that is a necessity if they plan on flooding the market with their products. My point here is...do not blame the Government alone for Innoson's failure to expand. The dependency on the Govt as the sole purchaser is not a good strategy. What the Govt would allow, though, is failure to meet deadlines, kickbacks for inferior products, and overpricing. If Innoson truly wants to fight in the big league, it must be ready to meet the demands of Nigerian customers and the expectations that come with that. If the product sucks, you will hear from Nigerians, not the Gov discussing behind closed doors and promising to fix the issues. Innoson is not ready yet in my own humble opinion. Deal with financing and let the cars flood the market...it would sell itself. I beg to differ that a brand like innoson would rely on government officials for purchases. Although, their patronage could go a long way in boosting the confidence level on others to follow suit. However, what my opinion is anchored on is the fact that those that afford to purchase brand new vehicles in Nigeria are only a small section of the population otherwise known as elites. And unfortunately, they prefer other foreign brands. Innoson will really have to work very hard to win their patronage. Maybe *Installing and showcasing a fully automated plant that has a massive production output, *Improving designs to include cutting edge technologies like other top brands, *Engaging in rigorous marketing, and *Providing vehicle financing scheme can then come in. All these and many more can be achieved within a short time in a friendly, conducive and business enabling environment. So, it's a bit Nigerian thing not purchasing brand new vehicles outrightly. Or maybe it has something to do with the economy too. Low purchasing power parity. |

Goodnewsforlife: I will like to believe that innoson does care about Nigerians (his closest customers). But, i think that the problem with his lack of mainstream advertisment could also be because his plant is yet to go fully automated. And as such, production capacity could be limited. How then will he cater for the orders when they start pouring in as a result of ads. Installing fully automated production lines no be chais. And I mean fully automated production lines like the Benz's, BMW's, Toyota's of this world currently utilizes. |
