Again..council tax pays for services rendered to you by the council and keep the city running, you are basically paying for services you enjoy.

You don’t have to pay for TV licence, thousands don’t pay it.

If you are struggling with monthly payments then how can you afford to pay yearly?

How about moving back to Nigeria where things are almost free?

While living in Nigeria we complain about the system not working even when we pay for services, you moved to the UK where the system works and you enjoy what you paid for and you are still complaining?

It's illegal, you can go to jail for it

Council tax is already high, yet you pay water bill separately. These bills come monthly without enough inflow to settle them. These bills are not in your control. They are non negotiable

Living pay check to pay check isn't life. How can you be earning £1500 and your recurrent expenditure is £1200 . That's a rat race

That £1500 monthly is for one who is on minimum wage, paying for bills for services being rendered......so what is the recurrent expenditure of a Nigerian worker in Nigeria earning the minimum wage of N70,000 and how much is him/her saving monthly?

The UK is now an extension of Lagos.
That's what happens when you open doors for mass influx of people from lawless countries. The probability that you gonna absorb a lot of such people is definitely gonna be very high.

How many people are paid above that?

Ave worker in the uk earn between £1500 to £2000

Very few are in the higher bracket

You don't get it, the Nigerians in the UK didn't earn 70k while they were in Nigeria

They lived in 2-3 bedroom, have one or two cars while they were in Nigeria...only to get to UK n be living in cubicle or non standard 2 bedrooms with one toilet.

Can't afford to use more than one car cos of the expenses that comes with it

It’s not illegal not to pay TV licence (not sure you know much about the UK system)

Yes you can renegotiate some bills and if you’re income is not enough to pay your bills then reconsider your location, reduce your outgoing or look for another job.

The best idea is to remain in Nigeria while aiming to earn in dollars.
So you earn in dollars, and spend in naira

The council tax you pay goes to road maintenance, policing, street cleaning, street lighting, bin collection and the list goes on, you don’t have to pay TV licence if you don’t watch live programmes.

You can see how good tax-free Nigeria is, good roads, police services are free, ambulances are free, free healthcare, no generator noise? Keep deceiving yourself
Justwise I love you.

Doesn’t change the fact that we have over 400k Nigerians living in the UK

There could be 1 million Nigerians in Uk, and 90k in Brentford. But it doesn't mean the 14k Nigerians in Brentford stadium are all from Brentford.. that's my point.

many think all the problems of the world only exist in Nigeria, so this is common. But, Canada and US are more open to opportunity than anywhere in Europe. But in all places, you will struggle.

It depends on your career path or medium of hustle.

Ah! Heaven too?

I don’t think so bro.

Nothing like big man in heaven.

Everybody there is happy and balling.

Provided there is Hierarchy in Heaven, everybody won't be on the same class, trust me.
If every man is balling, the criteria of being a big man could depend on unique things, like your level of supernatural power, level of influence and so on..

Paycheck jobs hardly make one rich.
It can only make them comfortable.
That's why it's not advisable for someone that is already doing well and has something good in Nigeria to sell all and travel out.
Left for me, I can only advice fresh graduates and single people to travel out, because it would be better than working for 200k per month in Nigeria, that's if you even get the 200k job.

Well, I guess the struggle in abroad is still better than the one in Nigeria.

My guy that couldn't afford expense of 200k in Nigeria travelled, he's complaining that things aren't as people think.
But he's sent his family more than 500k the first year, and even bought a small ride...
Which he wouldn't be able to afford when he was in Nigeria.
Overall, the struggle in abroad is better than being broke in Nigeria

Stop talking Stewpid nonsense! 😩😩😩😩

Only some years ago, while earning less than $10 an hour working part-time -- less than minimum wages at that time --- and living well within my means, I was able to save about $14,000 at the end of 2 years, more than anyone in Nigeria living on minimum wages couple ever boast of being able to in that period on minimum wage or less. undecided

Why not, if anyone so desire and is innovative enough. One thing we should realise is that you need not be super rich to live good in the west moreover, more often than not, nobody cares about what you have.
You don't even get any preferential treatment for being a high networt individual, priority is rather given to the physically or mentally impaired (Equality act).
It may even be easier for you to get rich in the West because of uncomplicated accessibility to credit facility(denpending on your location and level of Integration), assuming your Innovation needs financing.

Don’t let anyone lie to you! If there is no life in the UK, why are they still there?

The best thing one can do in Nigeria now is to quit your job, sell your house and all other assets and move to the UK. If you can sell everything in a short time frame and make it to the UK, just know you have made it. They will never tell you that, the UK government will give you €10,000/month for 6 months when you arrive UK.

A country where with 6 months of hard work as a nurse or truck driver, you can be able to afford a mansion in Banana Island.

Don’t listen to naysayers, they don’t want you to come. If you lucky to be wealthy or have parents who are wealthy, start selling anything you can lay your hands on and come to the UK.

Too many jobs in the country and you can never go broke. You can build a 3 story triplex yearly in Nigeria if you hardworking

Is this real about the UK,l have plans of japa though I want to use the study route but l have been sceptical about it for a while now.
